Washington Contractor Registration Dataset Observation Pack
Washington. Contractor registration dataset only. Observation, not verification. You send 25 to 250 Washington L&I contractor registration numbers for entities whose source business type is Corporation or Limited Liability Company. We read the official public dataset once, on a stated date, and return a source-bound CSV plus a methods memo that shows exactly what the source said and exactly what we did.
A dataset status is one dated observation; it is not proof that a contractor's registration legally lapsed.

Rows are not customers, and these counts are not market size. A row is one registration record in one public file. It says nothing about revenue, activity, headcount, or whether anyone would ever buy anything. We publish the counts so you can see the shape of the file you are asking us to read, not to imply demand.

Who should use the free tools instead
- You have one contractor, or a handful, and the outcome matters. Open L&I Verify and read the authoritative record yourself.
- You need bond, insurance, or workers compensation detail. That is not what this pack reads.
- Your team already runs the API on a schedule and keeps its own dated records. You are done; buy nothing.
- You want names, principals, addresses, or a list of contractors to contact. We do not do that, at any price.
Why a buyer still pays
The free tools answer one question at a time and keep no record for you. If your roster is 140 entities and someone asks in November what you knew in August, a screenshot folder will not survive that question. What you are buying is the boring part: one machine read of one file at one recorded moment, exact identifier matching with the failures labeled instead of hidden, source strings copied rather than reinterpreted, and a memo that a reviewer can follow. Doing that yourself is a half day of scripting plus the discipline to write down what you did. Some teams would rather buy the artifact once.

Scope and eligibility
- Roster size: 25 to 250 Washington L&I contractor registration numbers, supplied by you.
- Eligible business types only: the source row's business type must be Corporation or Limited Liability Company.
- Out of scope, always: sole proprietors, individuals, natural persons, trusts, employees, workers, and every other business type. Rows of those kinds are returned as out of scope and are not observed further.
- Geography: Washington only. One dataset only. We read no other state and no other file.
How the work runs
- You submit the public request form. It collects only work email, company, approximate eligible roster count, review trigger, deadline, and preferred re-observation timing. It accepts no registration numbers, no roster, no names, no files, no URLs, no personal information, no insurance documents, no contracts, no credentials, and no private material. This is an offer test, so there is no checkout on this page.
- We run a scope step before any payment. We check that the source is reachable, that the schema still carries the fields we depend on, that exact identifier matching is possible for your format, and that your roster is plausibly within the eligible business types. If that step fails, there is no payment. Nothing to refund, because nothing was charged.
- You accept scope and pay $249. Then, and only then, you transfer the roster over the channel agreed in the scope step.
- First observation. The source-bound CSV and methods memo arrive within one business day after accepted scope, payment, and roster transfer are all complete.
- Your re-observation. Any time within 30 days you trigger the second read of the same roster. That output arrives within one business day of the observation. You choose the moment; we do not choose it for you and we do not watch the file between reads.
What you receive
- A CSV with one row per identifier you submitted, in your submitted order, with the source status string copied verbatim.
- The source code and the verbatim source description for each observed status, unmodified.
- An observation timestamp and the source URL bound to every row, so each cell can be traced to one read.
- A methods memo naming the endpoint, the query, the field used for matching, the eligible business types, the counts by outcome, and the known limits.
- A second CSV and a short difference summary after your re-observation.
Matching method
Exact matching only, against the source field contractorlicensenumber. We normalize whitespace and letter case, and nothing else. No fuzzy name search. No UBI matching. No principal matching. No enrichment. No search by person. No list building. No browsing. If your identifier does not match a source value exactly, you get a labeled non match, not a guess.

NOT FOUND IN THIS DATASET is not evidence that a contractor is unregistered. It means one file, read once, did not contain an exact match. Publication lag, a different identifier, a corrected record, or an archived row can all produce it. If the source shows a status string we have never seen before, we copy it exactly as written and leave it unmapped. We do not translate unfamiliar strings into negative meaning.
Re-observation outcomes

A difference means only that two source reads differed. It establishes nothing about when a change happened, why it happened, whether it was a correction, or what legal effect it carries.
Limits you should hold us to
- OBSERVED ACTIVE is a dataset registration-status observation only. It is not proof of good standing, bond, insurance, workers compensation, safety, debarment, permit eligibility, or eligibility for any award.
- This is not a consumer report and must not be used for employment, credit, insurance, tenancy, or any other decision about a natural person.
- We give no legal, compliance, insurance, underwriting, procurement, eligibility, or adverse-action recommendation. We report what the file said and when.
- The official metadata states updates occur at 7:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 5:15 p.m. daily. We have not independently measured that cadence, and we have not measured lag against L&I Verify. There is no archived changelog for the dataset, so historical drift cannot be reconstructed from the source.
- We read one dataset. We do not reconcile it against L&I Verify, and where the two disagree, L&I Verify is the authoritative record.
How we handle your data
- Identifiers you send are used only to fulfill your pack. Never marketing, never outreach, never resale, never enrichment, never list building, never model input.
- We delete your submitted roster and our working match file within 45 days after the first observation, whether or not you request the re-observation. If you want the second read, trigger it inside the 30 day window.
- Delivered artifacts are yours. Keep them, share them internally, archive them.
- The public request form never collects roster identifiers. Please do not paste any into it.

You get SOURCE UNAVAILABLE rows and a stated reason, not cached values dressed up as fresh ones. We reschedule the read with you.
Can you tell me which subcontractors to stop using?
No. That is your decision and your counsel's. We report dated source strings.
Can I add ten more numbers after delivery?
Not within this pack. The re-observation covers the same roster. A changed roster is a new scope.
Is $249 per contractor?
