Practitioner forum posts

Hacker News (Algolia search_by_date) · 1 query read once a day.

301 distinct items, median 5 days findable, longest 9 days. 22 appeared on exactly one day. 50 are still in our newest read (83.4% are not).
One Algolia date-sorted search, capped at 50 items per read. That cap is why this family turns over fastest: once 50 newer matching posts exist, an older one is out of the window by construction.
What this archive is, exactly. Once a day we run seven fixed public queries and seal what each one returned. Every one of them is recency-ranked and capped — the forum search hands back 50 items per read, the news feeds returned 5–16, the docket searches 1–16. So this is a record of what those queries showed on each date, not a catalogue of incidents. An item missing from our newest seal was pushed out of a ranking by newer items; it was not deleted by anyone, and we make no claim that it is gone from its source.

These searches are ranked by recency and capped, so an item is findable for a few days and then it is not — and nobody can go back and ask what a ranking showed last Tuesday. We run all seven every day and keep the dated result. Leave your email and tell us what you are watching for; a human will send you what we hold and what a weekly read would have missed.

Compiled from dated copies of seven public search results: four CourtListener RECAP full-text searches, two Bing News RSS queries and one Hacker News (Algolia) date-sorted search. Every figure on this page is a measurement of what those queries returned to us on the dates shown. Nothing here is a claim about the completeness of any court docket, news archive or forum, and nothing here is legal advice or an underwriting opinion. No headline, case caption, post text or source link is reproduced. Verify against the underlying record before acting.
