A terms page has one version: the one showing now. When a clause is edited the page is replaced, and the sentence you agreed to last month is not recoverable from the vendor. We save a copy of each watched page every day and store the difference between one day’s copy and the next.

Every quote above is cut from the stored copy at about 150 characters around the part that moved, so two cells never look identical when only three words changed. The file you buy carries the whole passage.
The ones worth reading twice
Cursor is the clean one. Between our reads on 13 Aug 2026 and 14 Aug 2026, the sentence you accept by using the product went from “By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.” to “By using the Service, you agree to these Terms including our Acceptable Use Policy.” — 6 words added, and a second document is now inside your contract.
HeyGen changed how long your data sits in its disaster-recovery backups. Between 11 Aug 2026 and 12 Aug 2026 the same clause went from “30 days” to “60 days”. One digit, and nothing announced it.
Inflection is the largest single move we hold: 182 sentences moved on its privacy policy between our read on 20 Jul 2026 and our read on 21 Jul 2026. On a day like that the live page tells you nothing about what you agreed to the week before.
The size of the panel, and the honest count
Every day we ask 186 pages belonging to 74 AI vendors for their current wording and seal the day. We have kept every copy since 10 Jul 2026, which is 44 sealed days. On our newest read, 22 Aug 2026, 161 pages answered and 21 did not: 13 refuse us outright and 8 tell any automated reader not to fetch them, so we do not.
Across those days 414 pages came back different from the day before. Of those, 977 sentences moved in a way we can quote, on 32 pages belonging to 27 named vendors: 449 passages arrived, 400 left the page, and 128 were rewritten in place.
Every number in those two paragraphs was counted out of the stored copies themselves, and each one is shown again, broken down, on what is and is not in this feed. Ask us and we will show the working.
A page’s fingerprint moving is not its wording moving. Most of those 414 page changes moved a session number, a menu strip or the capitals in a heading and produced no sentence anyone could quote. Those are not rows, and selling them as changes would put a false alarm in your inbox every day.
201 passages on 19 pages moved one way and then moved back. That is one of the vendor’s own servers disagreeing with another, not a decision. Both halves are dropped and counted rather than sent. A further 144 passages moved from one part of a page to another without a word changing; those are not changes either.
We read the page the vendor publishes on the open web. The contract you actually signed can say something different, and we never see that. We say what moved and when. We do not grade any company, we do not score one, and we do not tell you whether a change is good or bad for you.
Doing this yourself
You can read any vendor’s terms page yourself in a second. What you cannot do is read yesterday’s. Almost none of these pages is versioned, dated or archived, and the ones that carry a “last updated” line move it without saying what moved.
To watch a panel this size you would have to fetch 186 pages every day, keep every copy, and then work out which differences are a real change of wording and which are the site’s own furniture. That last part is most of the work: 977 rows came out of 2,988 candidate differences.
