Read this before anything else

This is a run sheet, not a till. It remembers who asked first, who has a seat, and who is waiting. When someone drops out, the next person on that list gets the seat. There is no “move someone up” step.

We never take a deposit, a no-show fee, or a card hold from an attendee. Not as a setting. Not later. If you need to sell tickets, this is the wrong product. Cash on the night, a transfer, a jar by the door, or nothing at all stays yours.

The sample below is an example from the prototype running on local fixtures, not a live gathering and not a live-web read. The names are made up. The seating order is what the engine printed.

Who this is for

Someone who runs the same gathering again and again, and the room has a hard limit: a weekly run, a monthly supper, a class of fifteen, a meal in a hall that holds forty. More people ask than fit. The list currently lives in a chat thread, and the person who has been waiting longest does not always get the call.

Ask which gathering before you pay. Name the gathering and the capacity.

Tuesday Supper Club. Three seats. Six people asked, in this order: Ada, Ben, Cleo, Dev, Eve, Fay. Ben then dropped out. The engine seated Dev, who was first on the waitlist (waiting since #4). Eve and Fay stayed waiting. Confirmed people got the reminder schedule: 9 reminders, three waves, nobody on the waitlist was reminded about a seat they do not hold.

1. Ada
2. Cleo
3. Dev
Waiting: Eve, Fay (in that order)
Since the list was made: Ben dropped out → seat went to Dev (first on the list, waiting since #4)
No exceptions were made. Nobody was moved up or down.
Nobody’s payment details were collected — this tool cannot take money.
Not a deposit, not a no-show fee, not a card hold.

$348 a year, billed yearly, for one host plan. Cancel at the year by email, with no account to close. We never take attendee money, a deposit, a no-show fee, or a card hold. There is no pay button on this page yet.

What this is not

  • Not a ticket shop.We do not sell your seats and we do not take a cut of the door.
  • Not a deposit, a no-show fee, or a card hold. Those are the usual answers to empty chairs. We will not build them. Repeat no-shows get a check-in, then have to reconfirm, then stop being put back on the list automatically.
  • Not a way to skip the queue. There is no override that moves a friend up. If you need someone in the room, add them before the list opens.
  • Not a live login today. After you pay, a person emails you the sheet. There is no account to create on this page.

Ask before you pay
