What this page cannot tell you
- Two states. That is all. There is no national pending air permit list in this feed and we will not pretend there is one.
- Arizona is 16 days behind Texas and the Arizona page says so at the top rather than aging a stale copy into today's date. Read every Arizona number as of 13 Aug 2026.
- Maricopa County and Pima County issue their own air permits in Arizona, so most Phoenix and Tucson air permits are not on the state list and are not in this feed at all.
- Arizona's file mixes air with ground water, waste water, solid waste and hazardous waste. Only the rows the state itself files under air are kept. The rest are read and dropped, not counted.
- The last two columns of the first table are the days we hold a row for, not the days we asked. Every date on this page is the newest row in the data itself. A job that ran and a file that was written both prove less than that, and both have been wrong here before.
- An application leaving either list is not proof a permit was issued. Granted, withdrawn and quietly delisted all look the same from outside.
- There is no megawatt figure anywhere in this feed. An air permit application does not carry one, so printing one would mean making it up.
