Conductor vs seoClarity: Enterprise SEO Guide 2026

Oct 11, 2026

Key Takeaways

  • Conductor’s public plan cards list allowances and no dollar price. The Essentials card lists 500 tracked keywords, and the Growth card lists 5,000 tracked keywords plus 2,500 AI search credits a year.

  • seoClarity prints package floors of $2,500, $3,200, and $4,500 per month, labels them representative in a footnote dated the 11th of October 2022, and still requires a custom quote. The Rankings package stays Quote-based, with a minimum of 2,000 keyword queries.

  • Searchlight is the former name of the Conductor platform. ContentKing is a previous name for Conductor Monitoring. seoClarity is still sold under that name on the pages opened for this guide.

  • TrustRadius lists Conductor at 8.4 out of 10 from 394 reviews and seoClarity at 7.5 out of 10 from 11 reviews. Those samples are not the same size.

  • A 12-month reading of the printed floors is $30,000, $38,400, or $54,000 before keyword and domain adjustments. Conductor’s license line stays Quote-based until sales sends a number.

  • Neither platform finishes the page change. Someone on your team still approves what happens after the rank file or the crawl export.

An enterprise SEO platform is software that tracks search visibility, crawls the site, and organizes content work for a company whose organic program spans more than one team. Conductor and seoClarity both sell that system to brands and agencies that have outgrown a single rank tracker. For a head of SEO at a B2B software company, the decision is which published allowance matches this year’s sites, queries, and writers, and whether finance will see a dollar figure before a sales call.

TL;DR: choose Conductor when the Growth card’s 5,000 keywords and 2,500 AI search credits match the program and a quote is acceptable. Choose seoClarity when you need a printed dollar floor, a rankings package with a 2,000-query minimum, or the technical crawl package, knowing the vendor still adjusts the invoice for domains and keywords. A wider map of tools for this buyer sits in SEO tools for B2B SaaS startups. This page stays on the two products named in the search.

Both products are current. Nothing opened for this guide says either platform was shut down or folded into a different company. What did change is the naming inside Conductor’s own family, and old security reviews and slide decks still use the earlier words. Treat those names as the same vendor’s history, then compare the live plan cards.

The rest of this guide separates what the vendors print from the reading of it. Public pages, API docs, and review aggregates are the evidence. There is no lab test behind the weights below, and no claim that a deployment is already running at a named company.

Old names still sitting in old decks

Conductor Searchlight is the former name of the Conductor platform, ContentKing and Conductor Website Monitoring are previous names for Conductor Monitoring, Conductor SEO is the legacy platform name before the Conductor AI subscription, and the same glossary defines an AI-search sentiment score on a 1–10 scale, according to Conductor (2026). If a procurement file, a data-processing addendum, or a review from a few years ago says Searchlight or ContentKing, ask the seller to map that name to the current module before you compare scope.

That glossary also describes daily keyword tracking as data published daily for high-priority keywords, rather than on the weekly cycle, and it describes Conductor Actions as named tasks that can be sent to work-management apps such as Asana or Jira. Those are product facts a buyer can confirm on a call. They are not a promise that your ticket tool is already connected. seoClarity’s pricing page and product navigation still use the seoClarity name, with modules for rankings, content, technical SEO, and Clarity ArcAI for AI search. No rename showed up on the pages opened here.

Who this is for

This comparison is for a head of SEO or a marketing lead at a B2B software company who will accept or reject one of these two platforms in the current buying cycle. You already know a browser plugin will not cover multi-team reporting, a crawl, and a content queue. You need the public limits, the price posture, and a clear owner for the work that happens after the export. Teams sizing a different vertical can read SEO tools for healthcare SaaS as a separate buyer brief. The fit test below stays on Conductor and seoClarity.

Red flags: you need a credit-card checkout with a final price and no sales conversation; you track one small marketing site and will not use crawl, content production, or AI-search reporting; you want the software to change the live site with no human approval.

If any of those three describe the buy, stop the enterprise shortlist. A narrower rank tracker or the SEO platform you already pay for will be the simpler system. The sections below assume you are past that point and are choosing between these two.

How we evaluated these platforms

The weights below are a buying method, not a scoreboard from a bake-off. Each weight is the share of the conversation a B2B SaaS SEO lead usually has to defend before signature. Keyword scale is 20% because a multi-product site moves through a small tracked set quickly. Page coverage is 15% because crawl and page analysis are how technical debt becomes a list someone can assign. AI-search allowance is 15% because both vendors now sell answer-engine reporting, and a missing credit number becomes a budget surprise. Content allowance is 15% because drafts and content analyses are what writers actually touch. Price clarity is 20% because finance asked for a number before the call. Documented handoff is 15% because a report that never becomes an approved task leaves the site unchanged.

The anchor column is a published reference used to keep the method honest. It is not a winner’s score. The keyword anchor is 500, the Essentials tracked-keyword figure. The page anchor is 1,000, the Essentials pages-analyzed figure. The AI-search anchor is 2,500, the Growth credit figure. The content anchor is 60, the Essentials yearly draft figure. The price-clarity anchor is 1 when a vendor prints a dollar floor and stays a discussion point when the page shows no dollar amount. The handoff anchor is 1 when a public ranking endpoint exists in docs opened for this guide. Conductor documents keyword_rankings for traditional rank positions. seoClarity documents a keyword research API and a ranking data API. Both clear that bar on paper. Your security review still has to approve a token or a file drop.

Read the anchors next to the plan cards, not as grades. A team whose program is 8,000 tracked queries will feel the 500-keyword Essentials card immediately and will be looking at Growth, Enterprise, or seoClarity’s 2,000-query Rankings minimum. A team whose pain is writers shipping unscored pages will care more about the 60, 180, and 600 draft figures, and about seoClarity’s monthly content-analysis counts, than about the largest keyword number on the page. A team whose pain is finance will weight the price-clarity row above everything else, because one vendor prints floors and the other does not.

Disqualifiers follow from those weights. Conductor is a weak fit when the buying committee will not proceed without a dollar figure on a public page. seoClarity’s Rankings package is a weak fit when you need fewer than the 2,000-query minimum that package states. Either platform is a weak fit when nobody owns the step between the export and the page change. The matrix in the next section puts the published numbers in one place so that conversation can happen before the demo.

Limits you can read before a sales call

Essentials tracked keywords: 500 according to Conductor (2026). That Essentials card also lists 1,000 pages analyzed, 60 Writing Assistant drafts a year, 5 tracked competitors, 100,000 pages monitored, and 3 websites, and it does not list an AI search credit number. The Growth card on the same page lists 5,000 tracked keywords, 25,000 pages analyzed, 180 drafts a year, 2,500 AI search credits a year, 25 competitors, 500,000 pages monitored, and 5 websites. The Enterprise card lists 60,000+ tracked keywords, 125,000+ pages analyzed, 600 drafts a year, 2,500+ AI search credits a year, 75+ competitors, and 10+ websites. The Creator comparison table on that same page marks Enterprise drafts as Custom, so a quote should say whether 600 or Custom is the allotment you are buying. No dollar amount appears on the page. Conductor’s price is Quote-based. The page describes pricing as tied to usage rather than to seats.

seoClarity’s pricing page uses two packaging views. The package cards are Rankings, Research & Content, Technical SEO, and Enterprise. A compare grid lower on the page uses Essentials, Core, and Professional. The Rankings card is custom-priced, asks for a minimum of 2,000 keyword queries, and lists unlimited users plus daily or weekly tracking. The compare grid lists 25 unique content analyses a month under the Essentials column, 25 under Core, and 50 under Professional. Those counts are not the same unit as Conductor’s yearly drafts, so they should not be lined up as a single score.

The 600-draft Enterprise cell is the highlight card. Confirm it against the Creator table’s Custom label before you model a year of writer output. seoClarity’s Technical SEO card, covered in the pricing section, is the one that states unlimited crawl pages and projects. It does not publish a pages-analyzed cap comparable to Conductor’s 1,000 / 25,000 / 125,000+ series. On-page work that sits beside either platform is covered in on-page SEO for B2B SaaS startups.

The table has no row for a workflow tool, because the SEO platform and the handoff are different jobs. When a weekly rank file or a keyword_rankings response is ready, a proposed US Tech Automations workflow can read the export, match each row to a page owner in the ticket system you already use, and open a review task only when rank moves outside a band the SEO lead sets. Prerequisites are an API token or a scheduled CSV, a field map for keyword, URL, and rank, and a human approval step before any content or CMS edit. This is a configurable design, not a live deployment, and it claims no measured traffic result. Conductor’s API introduction states that Data API access requires an Intelligence subscription and that Content API draft generation consumes the account’s draft allotment. Those prerequisites belong in the security review next to the token request.

Pricing checked against the public pages

Pricing checked on October 10, 2026.

Research and Content floor: $2,500/month according to seoClarity (2022). A B2B SaaS team pricing a year at the printed floors can treat that package as $2,500 × 12 = $30,000. The Technical SEO package starts at $3,200 per month, so $3,200 × 12 = $38,400, which is $8,400 more than the Research & Content floor across the same 12 months. The Enterprise package starts at $4,500 per month, so $4,500 × 12 = $54,000. The same page lists sterling starts of £1,800, £2,400, and £3,600 for those three packages, states a 2,000-query minimum on Rankings, and mentions 130+ pre-built reporting widgets. The footnote says the packages and pricing are representative, dated the 11th of October 2022, and are subject to change, and that a custom quote is required. In this illustration only, a scheduled read of keyword_rankings is the handoff from Conductor’s Data API: the response carries rank positions for tracked terms, including the Growth allowances cited above of 5,000 tracked keywords, 2,500 AI search credits a year, and 180 drafts a year, and a person still chooses which rows become work. Conductor publishes no dollar price to multiply, so the dollar math stops at seoClarity’s floors. How that license sits next to agency or in-house effort is a separate budget question, covered in what SaaS companies spend on SEO.

seoClarityResearch & Content$2,500$30,000
seoClarityTechnical SEO$3,200$38,400
seoClarityEnterprise$4,500$54,000

The annual column is the monthly start times 12. It is not a negotiated contract, and it excludes the professional-services add-ons and keyword-volume changes the seoClarity page says will move the quote. Conductor’s three rows stay Quote-based because the plan page lists allowances only. A full cost of ownership for either vendor also includes the time your web team spends on approved fixes. That labor is yours to estimate. It is not printed on either pricing page. Rankings on seoClarity can be purchased without the other modules, which matters if you already have a crawler and a writer and only need scale on queries. Research & Content is the first card with a dollar floor and is described for small to medium teams, with a dedicated support group, client success, technical support, and SEO advisory services. Technical SEO adds site audit, unlimited crawl pages and projects, log file analysis, and Clarity 360, and the page points it at teams looking at more than one domain. Enterprise adds the highest support tier, service levels, and a path to influence the product roadmap, aimed at global teams with 5,000+ keyword queries.

Two profiles, two different bottlenecks

Conductor fits a team whose bottleneck is turning search and AI-search reporting into drafts and monitored pages inside one plan grid. Growth is the first card that prints both a 5,000-keyword allowance and 2,500 AI search credits. Essentials is the card for a smaller tracked set, with the 500-keyword and 60-draft limits above, and without a printed AI credit number. Enterprise is the card when the program is global and the 60,000+ keyword line is the relevant floor. The limitation is price clarity: every dollar figure in a business case has to come from a quote, and the Enterprise draft allotment is printed two ways on one page. Implementation detail that is public: Intelligence is the subscription named for the Data API, Creator is the subscription named for draft generation, and Actions are the documented path into tools such as Jira or Asana. Ask which of those products are in the quote. The primary evidence is the plan page and the glossary already cited, plus the API introduction opened for the keyword_rankings endpoint.

seoClarity fits a team whose bottleneck is rank scale, a priced research-and-content module, or a technical crawl with log files. The Rankings minimum of 2,000 queries will be too large for a tiny tracked set and reasonable for a multi-product SaaS site. Technical SEO is the card that states unlimited crawl pages and projects. The limitation is the age of the printed floors and the second packaging grid: Essentials, Core, and Professional sit on the same pricing URL as the four package cards, and the footnote dates the representative prices to the 11th of October 2022. The pricing FAQ says onboarding runs week by week with a client success manager, that professional services are included by default, that Adobe Analytics is the deeper integration associated with the Pro package, and that loading historical rank data may cost extra. Budget a confirmation call rather than treating the FAQ as this quarter’s order form.

Keyword research index: 32+ billion according to seoClarity (2026). That page also cites 224+ billion data points in the clickstream set, 24-month search-volume trends, and an allowance of up to 31 API calls per tracked keyword each month for clients who have API access. Data for elements already tracked in the account is described as included via the API. Access to the full research set is described as charged per request. That split belongs in the order form next to the platform fee. It is a different line from the $2,500, $3,200, and $4,500 package floors.

Review aggregates are a separate kind of evidence from plan cards. Conductor review score: 8.4/10 according to TrustRadius (2026), across 394 reviews, with enterprises at 43.1% of 415 listed installations on that page. The same page shows a site-audit feature score of 9.5 against a category average of 8.4. seoClarity review score: 7.5/10 according to TrustRadius (2026), across 11 reviews, with enterprises at 32.1% of 246 listed installations on that page. That page shows a site-audit feature score of 4 against a category average of 8.4. The 11-review sample is too small to treat that 4 as a crawl test. Use it as a prompt to run your own URL set during the pilot. seoClarity editor score: 7.4/10 according to iTechGuides (2026), with Conductor at 5.4/10 on the same rubric, ranked #21 and #40 in that site’s SEO tools list. The page says vendors can pay for a higher slot in its ranking, so those two scores are an editorial grid with a commercial placement option, not a neutral lab result.

Choose Conductor when content guidance, a printed AI-credit allowance, and monitored pages are the gap, and when the buying group can wait for a quote. Choose seoClarity when a printed floor, a 2,000-query rankings minimum, or unlimited crawl pages on the Technical SEO card match the gap, and when you will re-check the 2022 representative date on the quote. Choose neither when the real gap is the handoff after the file lands. A narrative of what a SaaS team does with organic work after the tool decision is in a SaaS SEO case study. It is not a test of these two products.

The work after the export

A second proposed US Tech Automations path can watch a Conductor Monitoring issue list or an seoClarity crawl export, group repeated template errors, and post one summary to the web team rather than one alert per URL. The output is a queued review list. A person still marks which fixes are approved. The design assumes the source system can export issues or expose them through an API, and it keeps a retry record and an audit note on each run. No customer is implied, and no time-saved figure is claimed. Conductor’s documented issue states include open, closed, and ignored. seoClarity’s pricing page points log file analysis and site audit at the Technical SEO package. Either export can be the trigger. The approval step stays with your team.

When NOT to use US Tech Automations: the SEO platform’s own emailed report is enough, a single folder drop of a CSV is enough for the people who already read it, or security will not allow an API token or a warehouse export to leave the SEO tool. In those cases the platform you already pay for is the simpler system, and adding another workflow layer only creates a second place for the same file to sit.

Zapier, Make, and n8n can keep run histories, retries, error branches, and audit evidence when someone configures them. The buyer still designs observability, idempotency, escalation, access controls, and maintenance, and still pays for that upkeep when an export column changes. A proposed US Tech Automations design can pre-map the SEO export fields, hold a human review gate before a ticket is assigned, and record which rank movement was ignored. Prerequisites are the same export or API access, named owners, and a written rule for what “moved enough” means. That is configuration work. It is not a statement that a workflow is already running, and it does not replace the SEO platform’s crawl or rank collection.

Glossary for the buying meeting

Tracked keyword, in Conductor’s glossary, is a keyword plus a search engine, a location, and a device. Comparing “keyword counts” across vendors without that definition will inflate or shrink the set.

AI search credit, on Conductor’s Growth and Enterprise cards, is the yearly allowance printed as 2,500 or 2,500+. Essentials does not print a number for it. seoClarity sells AI-search tracking under Clarity ArcAI. The pages opened here do not print a matching credit unit, so do not assume the 2,500 figure exists on both quotes.

Writing Assistant draft is Conductor Creator’s yearly unit: 60, 180, or 600 on the highlight cards, with Custom on the Creator table for Enterprise. seoClarity’s compare grid uses a different unit, unique content analyses per month at 25 or 50.

Quote-based means the vendor’s own page does not print a dollar amount you can put on a purchase order. Conductor’s three cards are Quote-based. seoClarity’s Rankings card is Quote-based. The other three seoClarity cards print a start price and still require a custom quote.

keyword_rankings is the Conductor Data API path segment for traditional rank positions. It is the identifier used in the year-cost illustration above. It is not a field inside seoClarity.

Sentiment score, in Conductor’s glossary, runs from 1 to 10 for the tone of AI responses that mention a brand. It is a reporting scale, not a review-site rating. The TrustRadius figures of 8.4 and 7.5 are a different scale from a different publisher.

A checklist before you book the call

Use this list in the internal meeting, before any seller sets the agenda.

  • Name the broken job in one line: drafts, crawl, query scale, or AI-search reporting.

  • Match that job to a row in the limits table, not to a slogan on the homepage.

  • Ask finance whether a Quote-based license can enter the quarter, or whether a printed floor is required.

  • Write down the query count and the domain count you will actually track, and place them next to 500, 2,000, 5,000, or 60,000+.

  • Name the person who approves a page change after the export, and the system where that approval is stored.

  • Confirm whether security will allow an API token, a scheduled file, or neither.

  • If you are looking at seoClarity, ask the rep to reconcile the four package cards with the Essentials, Core, and Professional grid, and to confirm whether the representative prices from the 11th of October 2022 still apply.

  • If you are looking at Conductor, ask whether Enterprise drafts are 600 a year or Custom, and whether Intelligence, Creator, and Monitoring are all in the quote.

Mistakes that waste the pilot

The first mistake is treating $2,500, $3,200, and $4,500 as a fixed 2026 invoice. The page that prints them also dates them to the 11th of October 2022 and says the quote changes with domains, keywords, and services. Put the date in the business case so finance is not surprised.

The second mistake is comparing Conductor Essentials at 500 keywords with seoClarity Enterprise at 5,000+ queries as if they were the same shelf. Line up the job first, then the tier. A Growth-shaped program and a Rankings-shaped program can both be rational. They are not the same allowance.

The third mistake is reading 7.5 out of 10 from 11 reviews as equal evidence to 8.4 out of 10 from 394 reviews, or reading 7.4 and 5.4 as a lab result. Use the review table to plan questions for reference calls. Use the plan cards to plan the pilot scope.

The fourth mistake is buying the platform and assuming the CMS updates itself. Both products can inform drafts, audits, and tickets. A person still approves the change. If that person is not named, the pilot will produce dashboards and the same backlog you have now.

The fifth mistake is leaving Searchlight or ContentKing in the security packet without a name map. Reviewers will hunt for a product you are not buying. Send the glossary definitions with the questionnaire so the review stays on the current modules.

Questions that come up in procurement

Does Conductor publish a dollar price?

No. The public plan page lists usage allowances and no dollar amount, so the license is Quote-based. Essentials, Growth, and Enterprise differ by keywords, pages, drafts, AI credits, competitors, and monitored sites, and the quote is where the dollar figure appears. Budget time for that conversation if your purchasing rules require a public list price before a meeting.

What does seoClarity list as a starting price?

The Research & Content package starts at $2,500 per month on the vendor pricing page, the Technical SEO package starts at $3,200 per month, and the Enterprise package starts at $4,500 per month. The page says those figures are representative, dated the 11th of October 2022, that they can change, and that a custom quote is still required. Rankings is custom, with a minimum of 2,000 keyword queries. Sterling starts of £1,800, £2,400, and £3,600 are printed beside the three dollar floors.

Is Conductor Searchlight a different product?

No. Searchlight is the former name of the Conductor platform, and ContentKing is a previous name for Conductor Monitoring. Conductor SEO is the legacy name from before the Conductor AI subscription. Use the current module names in the order, and attach the glossary note so older reviews stay readable.

Which public tier first lists AI search credits?

Conductor’s Growth card lists 2,500 AI search credits a year, and the Enterprise card lists 2,500+. The Essentials card does not list a credit number. seoClarity’s AI-search features are marketed as Clarity ArcAI. The pricing page opened here does not print a credit count comparable to 2,500, so the seller should put that unit on the quote if AI-search tracking is in scope.

Will either platform publish pages for you?

No. Both can support research, drafts, audits, and exports. A person on your team still approves a change before it reaches the live site. Conductor’s Content API can generate draft material and will consume draft allotment. seoClarity’s execution features, including page and schema tools, are sold alongside the platform. Approval remains an internal control in either case.

Do the review scores mean one tool wins?

No. Conductor shows 8.4 out of 10 from 394 TrustRadius reviews, and seoClarity shows 7.5 out of 10 from 11 TrustRadius reviews. iTechGuides adds an editorial pair of 7.4 and 5.4 and discloses paid placement. Use the plan limits and the quote for the decision. Use the scores to decide which references to call, and weight the 394-review set more heavily than the 11-review set when you do.

Can a no-code tool replace the handoff?

It can move a file, retry a failed step, and store a run history if you build those paths in Zapier, Make, or n8n. You still own idempotency, access control, escalation, and upkeep when a column in the export changes. The SEO platform remains the system that collects ranks and crawls. The handoff tool only routes what that system already produced, and a person still approves the page change.

What to do with the shortlist

Bring the limits table and the pricing table to the internal meeting. If the program fits inside 500 keywords, three sites, and 60 drafts, and AI-search credits are out of scope, Conductor’s Essentials card is the public description to test, with the price still Quote-based. If the program needs about 5,000 keywords and a printed AI-credit allowance, read the Growth card and ask for the dollar quote beside it. If finance will not open a vendor that prints no price, start with seoClarity’s $2,500, $3,200, or $4,500 floors, then force the quote to say what changed since the 11th of October 2022. If the missing piece is who acts on the file, settle that owner before you add either license. You can see how US Tech Automations configures this as a proposed routing layer with an export prerequisite and a human review gate. The SEO platform decision still stands on the allowances and the quote.
