GrowthX Alternatives in 2026: 3 Options Under $6,000/mo

Jul 28, 2026

Before comparing vendors, decide which of two different products you are buying, because this category quietly contains both. One product measures your visibility inside AI answer engines — how often ChatGPT or Google's AI surfaces cite you. The other produces pages. GrowthX sells them bundled; most of its alternatives sell one or the other, and at radically different prices. Buying a tracking tool when you needed page production, or the reverse, is the expensive mistake here — not picking the wrong tracker.

TL;DR: GrowthX publishes a starting price of $6,000 a month with a ceiling of 50 pages created per month, which works out to $120 per page at its advertised maximum. Profound and Rankability both publish entry tiers at $99 a month but are tracking-and-workflow tools rather than page factories. No vendor paid for inclusion, placement, or verdict on this page; every figure below was read from the vendor's own public pages on July 28, 2026.

Key Takeaways

  • GrowthX's own two published figures — $6,000 per month and up to 50 pages created per month — imply $120 per page at the advertised ceiling, and more than that at any lower volume. That derivation is ours, not GrowthX's published rate.

  • Profound publishes real pricing: $99 a month for Starter and $399 a month for Growth, both billed yearly with two months free, plus a custom Enterprise tier. It tracks nine AI platforms but does not carry a page-production ceiling.

  • Rankability publishes four tiers from $99 to $799 a month, metered in credits rather than pages — 10,000 credits monthly at the entry tier rising to 200,000 at the top.

  • Every per-page comparison on this page, including ours, overstates value if it ignores indexation: 48.6% of our own pages had never earned a Google impression when we measured it.

  • Decision rule: if you need to know whether AI engines cite you and nothing more, buy Profound Starter at $99 and stop — page volume is not your problem.

  • Decision rule: if you need pages produced at volume, compare cost per indexed page, not cost per published page, or you are budgeting against a number that does not convert.

How We Evaluated These Alternatives

Weights matter more than scores in a category this young, so here is what this page optimises for and why. The criteria below are applied identically to all four vendors, including us.

CriterionWeightWhy it carries that weight
Published pricing transparency30%A vendor that hides its rate card cannot be compared at all
Output ceiling clarity25%A page or credit limit is what converts price into cost per unit
AI answer-engine coverage20%The measurable half of this category; count the engines
Downstream indexation honesty15%Published pages that never index are cost without return
Implementation burden10%Whose domain the work lands on changes the real total

Indexation honesty is scored explicitly because no vendor in this category volunteers it, us included until we measured it. Implementation burden is weighted lowest not because it is unimportant but because it is the criterion buyers already evaluate well on their own.

The Cost-Per-Page Math GrowthX Publishes

GrowthX markets GrowthOS as a bundle of five "systems" — Context, Record, Intelligence, Action, and Learning — wrapped around search analytics, AI citation monitoring, and automated page creation. It is the only vendor in this comparison that publishes both a price and a page ceiling, which makes it the only one where a cost per page can be computed at all.

According to GrowthX's own site (checked July 28, 2026), GrowthOS starts from $6,000 per month with up to 50 pages created monthly. According to GrowthX (checked July 28, 2026), the same tier includes 2,000 prompts tracked per month alongside daily crawling, scoring, and AI citation monitoring.

Divide the first figure by the second and the differentiation axis for this entire page appears: $6,000 ÷ 50 pages = $120 per page at GrowthX's advertised ceiling. That arithmetic is ours, performed on GrowthX's two published numbers after re-reading both on July 28, 2026 — it is not a rate GrowthX publishes, and it is a floor rather than a typical figure, because any month you produce fewer than 50 pages costs more per page than $120.

Best fit: teams that want visibility tracking and page production from one vendor and can absorb a five-figure quarterly commitment. The disqualifier: the page ceiling is the binding constraint. If your plan calls for 200 pages this quarter, 50 a month is exactly enough — and if it calls for 600, no amount of budget inside this model gets you there faster.

Profound: Coverage Across Nine Answer Engines

Profound is the strongest option if your actual question is "do AI assistants mention us, and for which prompts." According to Profound's site (checked July 28, 2026), the platform tracks 9 named AI platforms — Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, DeepSeek, and Google AI Overviews — across products it names Answer Engine Insights, Prompt Volumes, Shopping, Agent Analytics, Agents, and Aim.

Its pricing is published, which is worth stating plainly because this category is widely assumed to be quote-only. According to Profound's pricing page, Starter is $99/month and Growth is $399/month, both billed yearly with two months free, with a custom-priced Enterprise tier above them.

Best fit: a brand or agency that needs answer-engine visibility measurement, at the widest engine coverage in this set, for two figures a month rather than four. The disqualifier: Profound does not publish a page-production ceiling, because producing pages is not what it does. If you buy it expecting content output, you have bought a measurement tool and will still need a way to act on what it tells you.

Implementation: self-serve at both published tiers, with the work landing on whoever already owns your content calendar — Profound reports; it does not write.

Rankability: Credits Instead of a Page Ceiling

Rankability, Inc., at 6 Cardinal Way, Suite 900, St. Louis, MO 63102, takes the third approach: a workflow suite metered in credits. According to Rankability's site (checked July 28, 2026), the platform ships an AI search agent named Serena plus 5 modules — Track, Research, Create, Audit, and Promote — covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and Grok.

According to Rankability's pricing page, four tiers are published billed annually: Starter $99/mo at 10,000 credits monthly, Growth $199/mo at 30,000, Scale $399/mo at 75,000, and Agency $799/mo at 200,000 credits, with a "Save 17%" annual discount and unlimited clients and users on every tier.

The credit model is the substantive difference from GrowthX. Credits are consumed by actions rather than by finished pages, so a cost per page depends entirely on how many research, audit, and creation actions your process spends per page — which means Rankability cannot be reduced to a per-page figure honestly, and this page will not invent one.

Best fit: agencies running many client accounts, where unlimited clients on a $99 entry tier is unusually favourable. The disqualifier: credits make budgeting harder, not easier, until you have run a month and measured your own burn rate. Anyone who needs a committed page count to put in a plan will find that harder here than with GrowthX.

US Tech Automations: Volume Priced Against Indexation

Our own position in this set is the page-production end, priced per workflow rather than per page. According to our published pricing, self-managed plans run $32/mo for Solo, $124/mo for Growth, and $457/mo for Scale, with a custom-priced Performance tier and a 14-day free trial on every plan.

Our own measured reality~1,000 pages/mo indexed48.6% never indexed

That last row is the point of the table. It is our own operating data, it is unflattering, and no competitor's comparison page carries an equivalent number because publishing one requires having measured it.

Here is what the production side actually looks like in practice. A regional home-services brand wanting 240 city pages live faces a choice: 240 ÷ 50 means nearly five subscription-months at GrowthX's ceiling, or $28,800 at the published $6,000 rate, versus a pipeline that ships all 240 in one pass. Sixty days later, pulling searchanalytics.query against the property returns the only number that matters: how many of the 240 earned an impression.

US Tech Automations runs the second shape — a batch trigger fires, each page is drafted against its own sourced data, blocking checks run before merge, and the merge itself deploys.

The second half is the part vendors skip. US Tech Automations then repairs what that query exposes — orphan pages get inbound internal links, pages with impressions but no clicks get their titles rewritten against the body, and pages that never indexed at all get flagged rather than counted as delivered. We have written up how we recovered indexation on orphan pages separately. That loop is what the agentic workflows platform runs, and it is why we price per flow instead of per page.

The Number Every Cost-Per-Page Comparison Leaves Out

Page volume is not the win, and a cost-per-page table that stops at publication overstates every option above — ours included. When we measured our own corpus on June 14, 2026, 48.6% of our pages — 6,007 of 12,350 — never earned an impression in Google Search Console, a result we broke down in why 48% of our pages never got indexed. A re-count on July 28, 2026 put the published library at 14,315 markdown files on the live branch.

Our own operating figureValueAs of

Published corpus, re-counted14,315 filesJuly 28, 2026
GrowthX-related queries reaching our site18 impressions, 0 clicksJan 1 – May 20, 2026

Two of those figures carry different evidence weight and it would be dishonest to present them identically. The 48.6% and the 3,200-page push are artifact-backed measurements from a diagnostic run. The ~1,000 pages a month indexation ceiling is an internal operating estimate rather than an audited figure, and should be read as an order of magnitude.

Volume without indexation also carries policy risk. According to Google Search Central, "Scaled content abuse is when many pages are generated for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings and not helping users" — a definition about purpose and value, not about whether automation was involved. Any vendor selling page volume, at any price per page, is selling into that constraint.

Our own GrowthX queries: 18 impressions, 0 clicks, positions 3.6 to 9.5. Between January 1 and May 20, 2026, four GrowthX-related queries reached our property at average positions between 3.6 and 9.5 and produced 18 impressions with zero clicks. That is a genuinely thin market, and saying so is more useful than implying a large one.

Picking One: A Short Decision Checklist

The DIY path deserves naming, because it is most readers' real alternative. Stitching a content pipeline together in Zapier, Make, or n8n works for the happy path and breaks in three predictable places at volume: per-task pricing gets expensive past a few hundred pages, there is no retry when a publish step fails mid-batch, and nothing checks whether what shipped ever got indexed. Our own pipeline covers exactly those three — orchestration, error handling, and a human approval step before merge.

If this is trueChooseBecause
You only need visibility measurementProfound Starter, $99/moWidest engine coverage, 9 platforms, published price
You run many client accountsRankability, $99–$799/moUnlimited clients and users on every tier
You want tracking plus pages, one vendorGrowthX, from $6,000/moOnly vendor publishing both a price and a page ceiling
You need volume and indexation repairPer-flow pricing from $32/moCost per indexed page, not per published page

When not to use US Tech Automations: if your entire question is which prompts ChatGPT cites you for, a $99 Profound subscription answers it and we would be selling you machinery you do not need. If you have fewer than 20 pages to produce in total, any pipeline is overhead — write them by hand. And if you need a single vendor to own both measurement and production under one contract with one invoice, GrowthX is structurally built for that and we are not.

For the strategy underneath the tooling choice, generative engine optimization for B2B SaaS and the marketplace variant both cover what these tools are meant to measure. More comparisons sit in the resource library.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does GrowthX cost per page?

GrowthX does not publish a per-page rate. It publishes a starting price of $6,000 per month and a ceiling of up to 50 pages created per month, both read on July 28, 2026, which works out to $120 per page at that maximum — arithmetic we performed, not a GrowthX figure. At any volume below 50 pages the effective cost per page is higher, so treat $120 as a floor rather than a typical result.

Is Profound cheaper than GrowthX?

On published entry pricing, substantially: $99 a month for Profound Starter against $6,000 a month to start with GrowthX. The comparison is not apples to apples, though, because Profound tracks AI answer-engine visibility across nine platforms and does not produce pages. If you need page output, the honest comparison is Profound plus whatever you use to produce content, against GrowthX's bundle.

Which GrowthX alternative publishes real pricing?

Both of them. Profound publishes $99 a month for Starter and $399 for Growth, billed yearly with two months free. Rankability publishes four annual-billed tiers from $99 to $799 a month with 10,000 to 200,000 monthly credits. That makes this category unusually transparent compared with document-AI or enterprise martech, where "contact sales" is the norm.

What is the catch with credit-based pricing?

Credits decouple your bill from your output, which cuts both ways. Rankability's 10,000 monthly credits at $99 could cover a lot of research and auditing or comparatively few full page builds, depending entirely on which of its five modules your process leans on. You cannot compute a cost per page from a credit allowance without first measuring your own burn rate for a month, and no vendor can do that measurement for you.

Does publishing more pages actually rank better?

Not reliably, and this is where most page-volume purchases disappoint. Our own measurement found 48.6% of pages — 6,007 of 12,350 — had never earned a single Google impression, against an internal estimate of roughly 1,000 pages a month of indexation capacity. Google's own spam policy defines scaled content abuse by purpose and user value rather than by volume, so the constraint is real regardless of which vendor produces the pages.

How should I compare these vendors fairly?

Normalise on cost per indexed page rather than cost per published page, and check the output ceiling before the price. For GrowthX that means dividing the monthly rate by pages actually indexed, not by the 50-page ceiling. For Profound and Rankability it means recognising that neither prices output at all, so their $99 tiers are measurement or workflow spend that sits alongside a production cost, not instead of it.

Is there a free way to test any of these?

Partly. We publish a 14-day free trial on every self-managed plan. Profound and Rankability both publish self-serve $99 entry tiers, which is a low enough commitment to run one month and measure. GrowthX's site published no free tier or trial at read time on July 28, 2026 — contact the vendor to confirm what evaluation terms are available.

Sources and Further Reading

Every figure on this page was read from the vendor's own public pages on July 28, 2026, on two separate reads each, at standard published rates with no promotional or negotiated discount applied:

SourceWhat it establishes
GrowthX (checked July 28, 2026)From $6,000/mo; up to 50 pages/mo; 2,000 prompts tracked
Profound pricingStarter $99/mo, Growth $399/mo, Enterprise custom
Profound platform (checked July 28, 2026)9 named AI platforms tracked
Rankability pricing4 tiers, $99 to $799/mo, 10,000 to 200,000 credits
Google Search CentralScaled content abuse defined by purpose, not automation
Our published pricingSolo $32, Growth $124, Scale $457/mo; 14-day trial

Two things were deliberately left out. GrowthX's pricing sits on its homepage rather than a pricing page — /pricing returned 404 on July 28, 2026 — so the homepage is cited as the page that genuinely carries the figure. And no cost-per-page number is published for Profound, Rankability, or for us, because none of the three meters output in pages and inventing a conversion would be fabrication.

The decision this page keeps returning to is not which vendor is best but which half of the category you are buying. Measurement is cheap and published; production is expensive and constrained by indexation rather than by budget. Plans, tiers, and what each includes are listed at ustechautomations.com/pricing.
